Following the highly-acclaimed Celebration of Richard Rodgers at the Lichfield Festival 2017, we present a unqiue show to celebrate the huge talent of George Gershwin and, in this his centenary year, Leonard Bernstein. This evening of songs and ‘songs without words’ brings together many of the Festival’s 2018 Artists in Residence, with new arrangements and virtuostic transcriptions of classic numbers such as Embraceable You, I Got Rhythm, extracts from Porgy & Bess and Candide, and a specially commissioned West Side Story medley.
