This event is running across both our Lounge Bar and our Studio, between 3pm - 8pm.
Songwriting workshops & performances from two young artists from the Lichfield Arts Emerging Talent Programme will run in the Lounge Bar from 3pm - 4.30pm.
After a short break, we'll move to the Studio for an evening of live music from 5pm - 8pm.
Join us as we celebrate one year of Ripple Music Group! Sponsored by Fruition Accountancy and Bowbrook Financial Planning, we’re taking over the Garrick to bring you a festival full of live music, songwriting workshops, and nothing but support for our local original music scene!
Who are we, you might ask? Well, we started in April 2024, determined to do our bit to contribute to Lichfield’s original music scene… and we’re proud to say that we have grown to provide 5 monthly stages for our local songwriters. One of our audience members described our nights as “like Spotify, but in real life”, and we couldn’t have said it better! We’re passionate about live music discovery - that moment when audiences hear their an artist live for the first time?! Pure magic. And this isn’t about celebrating the artists that already have the experience to have honed their craft. This is also about giving the next generation of artists plenty of local stages to perform their music. Otherwise, there’ll be nobody to headline Wembley in ten years time.
So we’re celebrating one year of live music the only way we know how - with a massive party! And of course a massive thank you to our sponsors, Fruition Accountancy and Bowbrook Financial Planners! We’ll start the day by giving back to our music community through songwriting workshops in the lounge bar, for young and established artists alike. Focusing on speed songwriting and colour association, these workshops will provide new methodologies in songwriting to keep those creative juices flowing. There will also be two performances from young performers from the Lichfield Arts Emerging Talent program during this time.
Then our evening kicks up a gear as we move into the studio space, and settle in for an evening of four local songwriters who have been right there every step of the way supporting Ripple Music Group from the start. It’s going to be an incredible day full of learning, inspiration and celebration of everything we’ve built so far, together as a community.
