British International Film Festival announced to take place in Lichfield
Lichfield Garrick is pleased to be partnering with Caroline Koziol-Thornett for Lichfield’s first ever Film Festival.
The venue and arts charity will be the location of the British International Film Festival, set up by Hollyoaks star and Lichfield resident Caroline to showcase the best of British cinema.
A first for Lichfield, British International Film Festival (BIFF) is committed to indie filmmaking and the language of cinema as an art form. The festival’s mission statement is to inspire and motivate people to discover the world through the art of filmmaking and production.
During the event, both submitters and patrons will have a chance to network, talk and ask questions. There will be plenty of special guests on the day, all of whom have a long-established career in the film and television industry, from BBC directors and producers to stars of soap operas and TV.
Caroline, who has starred in TV shows such as Line of Duty and Eastenders as well as being a recurring character on Hollyoaks, is delighted to be the Festival Director. She says: “I'm so excited and happy to bring the British International Film Festival to Lichfield. It's such a wonderful town and I'm delighted to witness Lichfield becoming a city where all cinema lovers gather and enjoy the magic of cinema together.”
If you are interested in submitting your work to the festival, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or submit through FilmFreeway: https://filmfreeway.com/BritishInternationalFilmFestival
The event will take place at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre on Friday 20th & Saturday 21st January 2023. There will be three sessions each day (10am, 2pm & 7pm) and guests will be able to purchase tickets to individual sessions, multiple sessions, or a full festival pass.
