What is the Women's Workplace Wellness Advocacy Programme?
The Women's Organisation set this training programme up to empower employees to become champions for women's health in the workplace. The programme is open to small to medium-sized organisations like the Garrick and when we found out about it we definitely wanted to know more. We are always looking to improve our equity and understanding across the organisation and this course provided the key to providing more support in this particular area of our workforce. As well as this though, the more we learn, the more we can create an inclusive atmosphere for our employees, visitors and anyone we work with.
This brings us to our very own Community Engagement Officer, Sophie, who was keen to take the course and bring back all the tools and knowledge she gained so we can grow as an organisation. Sophie is now our Women's Workplace Wellness Advocate and we hope you will join us in congratulating her on completing the course. We can't wait to start implementing and sharing what she has learned across the Garrick team.

Here's what Sophie had to say
"I was excited to receive training to become a Women's Workplace Wellness Advocate, as it means I can support my fellow women, and colleagues, to feel comfortable in our workplace.
From a personal perspective, I love learning about how people can be better supported, as we all need help sometimes. It is so important we all feel comfortable and accepted in this world and I cannot wait to use this to help my colleagues, as well as our young people and our community too!"
