New season on sale at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre
We're launching our new season for 2025, featuring more shows than ever before! We have a brand-new programme of shows packed with variety and promising entertainment for all ages and audiences. We're bringing everything from musical theatre to side-splitting comedy, to the stage and you'll have the chance to see plenty of famous faces right here in Lichfield.
All your favourite music tributes are back, including Dreamcoat Stars, Story of Soul and Chicago Blues Brothers, as well as exciting brand-new additions to the programme including Sex Bomb: Celebrating the Music of Sir Tom Jones, Flowers & Friendship Bracelets (a huge pop party featuring all the best of Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter and Miley Cyrus), and Rock for Heroes (a night of classic rock anthems).
From April, we move into a jam-packed season of delectable drama with Blackeyed Theatre’s production of Stoker’s iconic gothic novel Dracula, and then our must-see for 2025, Bill Kenwright Limited’s The Shawshank Redemption brings Stephen King’s short novel to life in an electrifying production.
For a comedy twist on your favourite classics, Laurence Olivier Award-winner Pride & Prejudice (*sort of) or Sh!tfaced Shakespeare: Hamlet are sure to delight. As if that wasn’t enough, The Pocket Dream, a Lichfield Garrick production takes over the main auditorium at the end of April. Starring Garrick Panto legends, Sam Rabone and Ben Thornton, a youth ensemble specially cast for the show and an impressive cast to be revealed soon, this hilarious reimagining of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, will have you rolling in the aisles.
From there, take your pick from a comedy programme with something for everyone. Hostess with the mostest Tim Benzie from crowd pleaser Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote, is back with a brand-new hilarious show, deep-diving into our generation’s obsession with murder mysteries, in It’s a Mystery. If you love a good whodunnit, we’ve got plenty to go round, with A Shoddy Detective and The Art of Deception a laugh-out-loud slapstick full of chaos, and Locomotive for Murdergiving Agatha Christie a run for her money. Scummy Mummies: Hot Mess are bringing an epic mum’s night out to Lichfield, talking all things menopause, mansplaining and Tinder. Celebrate Father’s Day in June with tickets to the acclaimed stage production of The Dad’s Army Radio Show.
We promised famous faces, and this season we’re delivering! Ventriloquist legend Paul Zerdin is at the Garrick in September with Jaw-Drop, bringing all his best-known characters to life in this hilarious show. You’ll be spoilt for choice with our sensational comedy line-up this season, featuring An Evening with Crissy Rock: From Bedlam to Benidorm, the incomparable Ed Byrne & Support! and the internationally acclaimedDylan Moran & Support! We’re thrilled to share that national treasure Susie Dent will also return to the Garrick with her new show SUSIE DENT: WORD PERFECT.

If you’re looking for something a little different, Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers are bringing their ground-breaking, theatrical experience here with an awe-inspiring show of big beats and visual treats. The Ladyboys of Bangkok will be serving up an outrageous night of comedy, cabaret and cheekiness, performing the biggest hits with over 400 incredible costumes and enough sequins to light up Lichfield. Calling all Villa fans; join Andy Townsend, Lee Hendrie and Ian Taylor for An Evening with Aston Villa Legends, a must-see evening of stories, anecdotes and the inside scoop on what goes on off the pitch.
Families can enjoy Tom Fletcher’s book brought to life in There’s A Monster In Your Show, and watch the mischief and chaos of Little Monster’s world take over our auditorium. In October, come and see The Dinosaur That Pooped, Tom Fletcher and fellow bandmate Dougie Poynter’s children’s book brought to life in a rollercoaster rock show. Flying onto stage with her friendly dragon meet The Worst Princess on her chaotic journey to a happy ending, and of course you’re all invited to beloved childhood dog, Spot’s Birthday Party. Join Kevin, The Koala Who Couldfor an empowering and chuckle-out-loud story about embracing change. For the Jurassic explorers amongst you, Natural History Museum: Dinosaur’s Live roars onto stage with an adventure for all the family.
We're pleased to welcome back a variety of local theatre companies with upcoming productions from Sutton Coldfield Musical Theatre Company (Annie), Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre (Evita, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory), Lichfield Operatic Society (Anything Goes, Rock of Ages), Walsall Operatic Society (Hairspray), Lichfield Players (Habeas Corpus, Two, The Lion in Winter) and Brownhills Musical Theatre Company (Jesus Christ Superstar).
