Join us for a fun, free drama initiative, perfect for adults who want to pursue an interest in drama without the commitment of a show!

If you are interested in taking part, please fill in this application form and return it to education@lichfieldgarrick.com as well as booking your chosen sessions.

What to expect from each session

Screen Acting: Learn the ins and outs of acting onscreen and how less can sometimes be more, with a host of silly games, low pressure performing, and a supportive environment!

Improvising & Devising with Characters: Bring your characters to life, with improvisation games, creative guidance, and a focus on fun and support to help you get to grips with active character engagement!

Scripts - Acting & Directing: Develop your skills as an actor and a director as you learn to bring a text off the page and into a performance space with games to guide you, lots of chances to guide each other's performances, and a relaxed, active atmosphere!

Foley Effects: Learn all about one of the lesser known aspects of theatre and film where, using household objects, you can create all the sound effects you want, enjoy the chance to develop and explore your understanding of just what goes into making common sound effects - the answer might just surprise you!

PERFORMANCES:

Every Wednesday night from 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

Suitable for those ages 18 and above.

PRICES:

Theatre Club is free to attend but please make a donation if you are able to. If you can’t? It's not a problem - we’d still love to see you there!

Donations can be made during the booking process and you can book your session up to three hours before the event time. You will be emailed with a Zoom link on the day of the event.
