Yourselves! Please wear comfortable clothing & shoes that you are safely able to move around in, and we recommend bringing a water bottle. You are welcome to wear jewellery, but we may ask you to remove anything that poses a risk.
Sessions are weekly, but we appreciate that you may be busy on certain days, so you’re free to miss sessions should you need to. It would be useful and appreciated if you could let us know as in advance as possible.
Please note: Lichfield users will pay termly and are not eligible to receive partial refunds for unattended sessions.
We’ll cover a variety of drama skills; this could be from acting & singing to improv & immersive theatre!
If you are worried about the cost of each term, please email us at community@lichfieldgarrick.com and we will do our best to support you where we can. Bursaries are available.
We have partnered with Burntwood Town Council to work towards creating new cultural experiences and opportunities for the youth of Burntwood, many of whom can’t attend the events in Lichfield. We’ve been given funding to subsidise these groups, and we look forward to helping expand the cultural landscape for youths who have not had access to drama groups previously. If you are not from Burntwood but are worried about the cost of these sessions, please see our previous question for more information on bursaries.
Our Young Garrick Membership is undergoing some restructuring at the moment, and we'll be reaching out to our Members between 18-25 very soon to see what they'd love to get out of their Young Garrick Membership. For any queries or suggestions, please email community@lichfieldgarrick.com
You will need to pay the full fee upfront to be allowed to take part.
We do, however, understand that these sessions may not be for everyone, so we allow each participant to attend two sessions in a "cooling off period" with the understanding that if it's not for you, then you will be eligible for reimbursement of any future sessions, no questions asked.
Please email the team at community@lichfieldgarrick.com
We’ve been fortunate enough to receive a pot of funding towards our youth theatre provision from the Conduit Trust which has allowed us to reduce the cost of taking part in our youth theatre for 14-18 year olds.
The funding has been applied to the 14-18 group in recognition of the complex range of barriers 14-18 year olds may be facing to participation, for example needing to pay for memberships/arrange travel themselves.
Whilst there is no generic subsidy applied to 7-11 and 11-14 memberships; subsidy is still available if finances are a barrier to you/your child’s participation via funded places, which mean that if needed, you can join the youth theatre without needing to pay a thing!
If you want to use a funded place, then please contact the Head of Community Engagement at jonny.mcclean@lichfieldgarrick.com
The subsidy will last for the entirety of the Young Garrick Youth Theatre’s first year (September 2024 – July 2025).
£50 per term, so a full 3 term year will cost £150 in total.
It is only membership of our 14-18 group that will be subsidised, of which you will be eligible to join once you start year 10.
Absolutely! We recommend booking onto these terms as early as possible, but appreciate the financial constraints of these payments, so please feel free to book on whenever you are ready and able to.
