FREELANCE THEATRE DIRECTOR

To lead the creative team for our next Main House Young Garrick (14-25 years) production of Animal Farm, adapted from the novel by George Orwell.

Evening/weekend rehearsals are due to start in late October, with intensive rehearsals and performances scheduled for w/c 25 March & 1 April 2024.

You’ll have a strong track record of leading creative teams in the delivery of high-quality theatre productions. You’ll have experience of working with large casts of young actors and a commitment to creating safe/inclusive/collaborative working environments. You’ll be excited by the prospect of creating a bold and accessible new staging of this modern classic.  You’ll be supported at all stages of the process by our Community Engagement team, and the production will be delivered by our in-house Technical team.

The exact rehearsal/production schedule is to be confirmed in discussion with the successful candidate.

Fee: £5,000

COMPANY MANAGER (PANTOMIME)

We are looking for a highly motivated Company Manager for our 2023 pantomime Beauty & the Beast.

After a record-breaking year with Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Lichfield Garrick Theatre is gearing up for the return of its ever-popular annual pantomime, and we have an opportunity for an experienced Company Manger to join the panto team, contracted from the 6th of November 2023 until the 7th of January 2024.

Our company manager will look after performer well-being and day to day operational matters during rehearsals and the show run.
