STATEMENT ABOUT A RECENT SPACE BOOKING BY TDM LTD
From time to time, the Lichfield Garrick Theatre hires spaces to local businesses to hold meetings/seminars etc.
We were recently approached by Lichfield-based TDM Ltd who told us they wanted to hold an ‘educational talk’ and, in good faith, we offered to hire them our Studio.
It was subsequently brought to our attention that the nature of TDM’s business is wholly at odds with our organisation’s values and is not something we would wish to support in any way. As soon as we became aware of this, we got in touch with TDM and cancelled the event.
We understand that TDM have produced a flyer publicising their (now cancelled) event, featuring the Garrick logo. This was an unauthorised use of our logo and we would like to make it clear that we in no way endorse the business of TDM.
The Garrick Theatre is a registered charity that exists to serve all the communities of Lichfield and the surrounding area, bringing people together to share cultural experiences, and there is no place in our programme for anything that makes a section of that community feel unwelcome here.
