Youth Board

The Lichfield Garrick Youth Board is relaunching! Our next team of young leaders of the theatre could feature you! Join us and learn all about how a theatre runs, and have your voice be heard in the theatre’s future. To join the youth theatre you must be between the ages of 13 and 25 and either fill out an application form, or submit a video detailing who you are and why you would like to join the youth board to education@lichfieldgarrick.com. (please note that any video submissions must still answer the questions on the application form).

Previous Youth Board members have said:

"Being a member of the Lichfield Garrick Youth Board has vastly broadened my horizons, regarding my interest in theatre. I have always had a passion for performing and was interested in gaining experience about the workings of a theatre. At the Youth Board, I have learnt about how the theatre is run and what needs to be considered in order to program performances. This has really helped me, as I am interested in pursuing a career in directing theatre, so I have been able to learn more about off-stage theatre careers."

"The Youth Board Of Directors has significantly helped me to develop confidence in expressing my thoughts and ideas, whilst aiding me in the development of communicative skills. Furthermore, it has been lovely to be involved within the Lichfield Garrick, having previously performed here, and seeing the positive changes that have been made as a result of the Board’s recommendations (…) The Youth Board is an extremely positive and friendly space, and due to this, I know that we will continue to have a substantial impact on the local community."

"Since becoming a member of the youth board there have been some significant benefits in my life. I was recently asked to an interview and one of the main points of conversation there was my involvement with the youth board. My employer (I got the job!) was impressed by the youth board and I believe it has been a great way to gain insight into business and the workings of the theatre."
